EXECUTIVE DEGREE IN PRODUCTION ENGINEERING & OPERATIONS

INTRODUCTION

The Executive degree in Production Engineering & Operations covers the essential Porter’s Value Chain, procurement management, Toyota Production System, demand forecasting, planning and control; managing contract management and inventory control.

 

Value Chain is used in helping organizations to articulate from strategic direction and goals using key performance indicators into core operations management competence and capabilities. Introducing Balanced Scorecard in value chain was first initiated in the year 1996 where companies had the opportunities to align vision and key performance indicators using a set of strategies for performance management.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

This intensive eight-month programme is a TVET-driven curriculum consisting of 70 per cent practical contribution and 30 per cent theoretical contribution and upon completion the six modules, passed finalist will be awarded EXECUTIVE DEGREE IN PRODUCTION ENGINEERING & OPERATIONS with career advancement in quality assurance manager, quality control manager, quality analyst, quality engineer, quality supervisors and quality coaches a.k.a ‘sinseh’.

Dr. Kou Yook Fat was a MSc graduate in quality management from Cranfield University, a BEng (Hons) Master of Project Management from University of Southern Queensland, Bachelor of Engineering from University of Sunderland and passed Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Level 7 equivalent to M.Eng) awarded by Engineering Council, UK.

 

Presently, he is pursuing Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at USM.

 

33 years in the manufacturing industry at AMD, Atlas Electronics M’sia, Grundig Audio, Escatec Electronics, FMS Audio, CPI Plastics, and Precico Group as engineer, quality assurance manager, general manager and strategic development director.
